The Weekend of May 16th, the gates of Emerson Hall will swing open to reveal a kingdom at a crossroads. The legendary FrostFire Ball is no longer just an evening—it is a living, breathing story where the lines between the frost and the flame have begun to blur. As the spring sun hits the palace stone, the question on everyone’s lips remains: Will the Ice Queen’s heart finally thaw, or is this the moment the Rebellion has been waiting for to strike?
The Weekend Experience: A Three-Day Odyssey
Why merely visit the kingdom when you can live within it? We have expanded FrostFire into a full weekend journey, allowing you to immerse yourself in the lore from the first frost to the final thaw.
🥂 Friday Night: The "First Frost" Mixer Kick off the weekend at our official pre-party! This is your chance to break the ice with fellow travelers, meet members of the cast in a casual setting, and show off your "Nowhere to Wear" finery—those gorgeous outfits that deserve a spotlight but didn't quite fit the Ball’s dress code. It’s the perfect prologue to the weekend's festivities.
🏛️ Saturday Day: The Authors & Artisans Faire now spills from the lush front lawn into the heart of the Queen’s Ballroom. Shop curated wares, meet your favorite fantasy authors, and discover treasures from across the realms in the beautiful May sunshine.
🔥 Saturday Night: The FrostFire Ball The main event. Witness the drama unfold in real-time as secrets are whispered in the corners of the ballroom and the fate of the throne is decided. Enjoy a fully Hosted Open Bar and a Live String Quartet, as you mix and mingle with our immersive cast.
The Royal Presentation (VIP): For those of noble rank, the evening begins at 6:00 PM with a formal introduction to the Ice Queen herself. Choose your title wisely—the Herald will announce your arrival to the entire court.
🍾 Sunday Brunch: The Final Farewell PJ Party and hangover cure we all need to say goodbye, share your instahandles with new friends as well as swap photos from the night before. An OPTIONAL ADD-on, there is a separate ticket to join Sunday Brunch from the core fantasy Ball.

In the Winter Vale, ice is not just weather—it is a sanctuary for a shattered heart. Ten years ago, a devastating betrayal froze Queen Alaina Serenwyn Vale, turning a benevolent ruler into the untouchable "Ice Queen." To the world, she is a distant tyrant; to Alaina, the frost is the only thing keeping her grief from drowning her people. But in the shadows of the frozen West, the embers of revolution are beginning to smoke.
Behind the scenes, the Queen’s peace is held together by an inseparable trio: her bubbly handmaiden and best friend, Floe, the lethal and secretive Fae agent, Xilvyre Shadove, and the fiercely loyal General Cyrene Rowlyn, who views Alaina not as a monster, but as the savior who once rescued her from a burning world.
A House Divided
The rebellion is a war of two dreams. Rhyden Alaric Vulcrest, the "Ember Marked" leader, carries the literal scars of the Queen’s uncontrolled grief upon his skin—yet he also carries a secret love for the woman who broke him. He believes her heart can be reached through the FrostFire, a legendary warmth born only of genuine connection.
But behind Rhyden stands Princess Adara of House Ember. She claims Alaina is no protector, but a usurper who extinguished a fiery lineage to seize the throne. While Rhyden seeks a dance of redemption, Adara plots a coup of ash, using the rebellion as a front to reclaim a crown she believes is hers by blood.
The Night of Shimmering Silk and Hidden Steel
Risking the Queen’s icy wrath, a secret network of spies and loyalists has organized a gathering of hope: The FrostFire Ball. As the music begins, the players take their places: the grieving Queen guarded by her loyal shadows, the scarred Rebel seeking a miracle, and the vengeful Princess waiting in the wings. Amidst the swirling gowns and frozen spires, a single question echoes: Can a heart once frozen ever truly beat again, or will the truth burn the kingdom to the ground?
The friction between the three generals within the ballroom is a study in scars, survival, and clashing loyalties. General Cyrene Rowlyn, the Queen’s silver-haired shield, stands as a living rebuke to the rebellion—a woman who saw Alaina’s mercy in the heart of a childhood inferno and pledged her life to the frost that saved her. To her, General Ria is not a liberator but a dangerous radical who has forgotten the chaos of the coup, while Ria, hardened by the hollow ache of "Peanut Week," sees Cyrene as a brainwashed puppet guarding a tyrant who chose to freeze the world rather than feed it. Caught in the middle is Solara Ashbane, the rebellion’s tactical fire, whose hatred for the Queen is sharpened by the bitter, unrequited love she bears for Rhyden. While Cyrene fights to preserve a savior and Ria fights to avenge the starving, Solara fights to erase Alaina entirely, creating a powder keg of cold steel and burning resentment that threatens to explode the moment they stand face-to-face in the ballroom.
As the kingdom nears its breaking point, two others move through the cracks. Seryza "Ashstep" Varneth, a sarcastic thief and former friend of Xilvyre, carries the Queen’s stolen crown as a pillow and a promise of humiliation. Meanwhile, Kali, a fickle former courtier turned rebel spy, uses her intimate knowledge of Alaina’s court to play both sides, waiting to see if she should fight for a new crown or curtsy back into her old life of finery if the thaw arrives.

Queen Alaina Serenwyn Vale, also known as "The Ice Queen"
The ruler of the Winter Vale. She will be at the FrostFire Ball in her throne room or the Queen's ballroom, speaking with her court. She is ethereal and impossibly regal, with skin like moonlit snow, lips touched with rose-ice, and eyes the color of frozen lakes. She wears gowns woven from snow silk and ancient enchantments, and a white saber cat named Snowflake is always by her side.

Rhyden Alaric Vulcrest- The rebel leader nicknamed "The Ember Marked”
Rhyden Alaric Vulcrest- The rebel leader nicknamed "The Ember Marked," will be at the FrostFire Ball gathering with fellow rebels. His skin is shattered like porcelain, with a fire-like spirit seen where pieces have fallen away on his face, neck, and chest. Rhyden is known to be charismatic, intense, and fearless, but he hides a deep sorrow. He is often seen wearing colors of brown, red, orange, and yellow, and carries a sword named Ash-breaker. .
Princess Adara - Johnna.lynn.books
Princess Adara, a High Fae Princess
Princess Adara, a High Fae Princess, will be in the Rebel Lounge at the FrostFire Ball. She has red wine hair, fiery red eyes, and crystallized embers on her skin. She dresses like a princess, even while in hiding. Known as the kind princess who would help any of the Rebel families, she is now losing a bit of her humanity every day the Queen reigns. Princess Adara wants the throne that should have been hers, and she wants the Ice Queen gone.
Queen’s Agent Xilvyre - Stacy K.
Xilvyre Shadove- a Fae-born Queen's Agent
Xilvyre Shadove- will be constantanly looking to gather intel on the rebels. Her goal at the ball is to protect the Queen and secure her place on the throne. As a skilled fighter and spy, Xilvyre is determined and fiercely loyal to the Queen. When among strangers, she typically appears serious, secretive, and mysterious. Xilvyre has several strong bonds within the kingdom.

Seryza Varneth, also known as "Ashstep"
Seryza Varneth, also known as "Ashstep," is a thief rogue. She will be found in the Rebel Sanctuary, where she might be seen stealing a glance at her old friend, Princess Adara, or stealing a drink. She can also be found outside the sanctuary, keeping an eye out for Xilvyre or for nobles to pickpocket. She may be seen in the halls or ballroom, planning her next heist and watching the Ice Queen's every move. Seryza has pink skin and pink, curly hair that is shaved on the sides. She has red eyes and a scar on her right cheek. She is described as sarcastic, cocky, and dangerously charming.

General Cyrene Rowlyn
The Ice Queen’s general can be found patrolling the Queen's ballroom, keeping a watch on the room, and standing guard at doorways. She has icy silver hair and red/orange eyes, with a scar running through her left eye. Cyrene is a friend of the Queen, whom she serves as a shield, protecting her from any harm as repayment for the Queen for saving her life as a young girl. Cyrene is also best friends with Xilvyre, the Queen's agent, who treats her no differently because of her powers. Cyrene has the ability to manipulate shadows and people's minds with illusions.

Kali
Kali- is a spy for the rebels. She is cunning, resourceful, and adept at gathering information. Her motivations align with the broader rebel goals, though perhaps with a unique personal stake or perspective. She would be an excellent character for guests to try and gather intelligence from, or to recruit for their own agendas - She’s quite adept at learning all of your secrets, and those of others, but doesn’t give up her own easily.
Lady in Waiting Floe - Anastasia.Reverie
Florinda Chillwether, or “Floe”
Florinda Chillwether, or Floe, is The Ice Queen’s best friend and handmaiden. She will be keeping a watchful eye and encouraging her friend the Ice Queen during the ball. She can also be found socializing and mingling with others, as she enjoys making new friends. Floe is bubbly, excitable, friendly to everyone, and gracious. She has golden-brown hair and brown eyes, accentuated with icy-white makeup. Floe is a long-standing member of the Queen's Court and grew up as a noble. Because she doesn't get out much, she finds new things fascinating.
General Ria- Valkyrie.Kae
General Ria
General Ria- One of two Rebel Army Generals, can be found in and around the rebel sanctuary, planning and keeping guard. She will also be roaming the halls and the ballroom floor, hoping to encounter the men who hurt her or the Queen herself. Ria is tall, with a muscular and toned build. She has heterochromia eyes, tattoos, and a scar across the right side of her face and over her body. She is serious and sometimes funny, but can also be harsh. Ria wants her people to know what freedom and peace are. She is driven by the hope she sees in children's faces, which pushes her to create a safer place for them.
General Solara - Eternal_cursebreaker
Solara Ashbane- a Rebellion General
Solara is the fiery and loyal general of the rebellion, driven by a deep love for the Rebel Leader and a desire to see a new era of peace for the kingdom. She is almost always at the Rebel Leader's side, and her primary focus at the FrostFire Ball is to ensure the rebellion succeeds and the Rebel Leader does not reconcile with the Queen. A woman of action and strategy, Solara is terrible at sitting still and never sleeps lying down, as she considers it too vulnerable. She's a tactical and calculated individual who is also known for being sassy, fiery, brave, and confident. Solara's ultimate goal is to replace the current Queen with the Rebel Leader.
